Diet Tea

Herbal Indications:

Cleanses the intestinal tract; constipation; mild diuretic; edema conditions.

Contraindications:

Diarrhea; allergic reactions to the herb.

Others:

NOT for pregnant women.

Common Dosage:

3 - 9 grams

Ingredients:

Faxieye (15g) tea
crushed green tea leaves (Oolong) (100g) tea

Preparations:

Mix the ingredients together. Take one teaspoon to make a cup of tea. Take one cup before breakfast and dinner.

Others:

This tea helps gradual weight reduction and cleanses the intestinal tract. NOT FOR PREGNANT WOMEN!


Red Date Tea

Red Date, Dazao tea

Fructus Jujubae

Herbal Indications:

A mild tonic for the circulation and Qi system; anemic; indigestion; loss of appetite; short of breath; insomnia due to nervousness; lack of strength and energy; diarrhea; depressive moods.

Contraindications:

Allergic reactions to the red date.

Others:

Usually the seed is removed from the red date because it causes dryness of mouth. It is a very common ingredient in vegetarian cooking.

Common Dosage:

10 grams

Ingredients:

10 seedless Red dates, 30g Radix Codonopsis, Dangshen

Preparations:

Simmer the ingredients in 500 - 800ml water for 45 - 60 minutes. Filter. Use as a fluid supplement.

Others:

This recipe is helpful for depression , especially before childbirth; promotes energy; general weakness with anemic symptoms; frequent palpitation and shortness of breath; menopause symptoms.


Dandelion Tea

Dandelions tea

Dandelion

Generic Name:

Herba Taraxaci

Herbal Indications:

Cleansing and detoxifying effects; reduces swelling of certain tissues; diuretic; cystic-like swelling of the breast tissue; redness of the eyes; sore throat; mild urinary tract discomforts.

Contraindications:

Allergic reactions to the herb, extremely weak physical conditions.

Others:

Collect the plants before flowering from clean fields of hillsides. Cab be dried in the sun for future use.

Common Dosage:

9 - 16 grams

Ingredients:

Whole Dandelion plant (1 or 2)

Preparations:

Wash the plant. Brew with about 600ml of water. Use as fluid supplement.

Others:

Dandelion has anti-bacterial effects that can be used on skin infections such as boils.


Yiyiren Tea

Semen Coicis

Herbal Indications:

Promotes a healthy digestive system; eliminates extra fluid from body - edema; diarrhea; cleansing effects; as a mild diuretic; stiffness of limbs.

Contraindications:

Allergic reactions to the ingredients.

Common Dosage:

30 - 60 grams

Ingredients:

30g Yiyiren tea 
30g Brown sugar tea

Preparations:

Simmer the ingredients with 600ml of water. Filter. Use as fluid supplement.

Others:

This recipe can help edema conditions and promote a healthy digestion system. When Lugen (Rhizoma Phragmitis tea) 30g is added with Yiyiren and simmered for 45 minutes, it is a good recipe for children with teeth grinding problems.



Ta Gan Tea

Herbal Indications:

Gastric bloating; indigestion; constipation; diarrhea with mucus; fever; cleansing effects.

Contraindications:

Extremely weak physical conditions; allergic reactions to Ta Gan (rare)

Others:

Can neutralize Korean Ginseng's therapeutic effects.

Common Dosage:

10 - 20 grams

Ingredients:

Ta Gan (one or more), Ginger (100g)

Preparations:

Wash the ingredients, make the juices and mix, Simmer with 0.5 cup of water for 5 minutes.

Others:

The tea may help clear symptoms of coughing with a coarse voice during a common cold, phlegm and feeling cold. If symptoms persists, see your doctor.



Walnut Tea

Walnut tea

Juglandis

Herbal Indications:

Increases energy; soothes dry throat and skin; softens stool; weakness of back and knees; shortness of breath and frequent coldness; promotes libido and brain functions (Brain food).

Contraindications:

High cholesterol level; allergic reactions to walnuts; diarrhea; gout.

Others:

Usually the walnut meat is used for candy, bakery products and cooking. It contains plenty of vitamin B1, B2, proteins, fat and sugar.

Common Dosage:

3 - 10 grams

Ingredients:

6 - 10 Walnuts (whole nut)

Preparations:

Wash the walnut and then crush them. Brew with 600 - 1000ml water for 20 - 30 minutes. Filter. Use as fluid supplement.

Others:

It is helpful for conditions such as weakness and aches of the back, frequency of urination (especially at night), hiccups and constant diarrhea in the morning (around 5 - 7am).


Good Night Tea

Contraindications:

Allergic reactions to the herb; chronically weak physical condition.

Common Dosage:

1 - 3 grams

Ingredients:

Dengxincao (10 - 20g)

Preparations:

Brew the ingredients with one cup of water. Filter. Take the tea one hour before retiring. Take one dose per day for one week.

If the symptoms do not subside, see your doctor for further advice. This recipe has been quite popularly used for sleepless nights.
